Abruzzo is a wine region on the Adriatic side if Italy, where the Montepulciano grape thrives. Not as heavy or sweet as some Montepulciano based wines. Lots of lovely dark cherry fruit with a bit of bitterness and hints of flowers. Brambly and perfumed with sufficient body to warm on these cold winter days.
