Hailing from Champagne, France, this triple-crème was created in the 1970's by two friends Pierre & Robert. According to the story they were impatient in waiting for a cheese to fully ripen, they cut into a wheel early on in the cheese making process. Finding it so soft, spreadable and decadent they then further developed the recipe to include crème fraiche before curing to allow for even more creaminess. Beware: this cheese is rich and buttery!
