Gamet is a champagne producer just west of the city of Epernay that recently has made the foray into the world of cider. This dry cider is a blend of 80% Avrolles, 20% Harry Master, Dabinett, and Chanteline apples. The powerful nose immediately transports us to Champagne. Smoky notes of flint mingle with more citrusy and exotic fruit notes in an intense buttery atmosphere. With the biting acidity of tart apples forming the backbone, a more mineral and dry touch emerges on the finish, practically begging to be paired with food.
