Most of Drouhin's burgundy production is as a negociant, but back in the 1980's when Chablis was a depressed backwater, Drouhin bought the Moulin de Vaudon and many top notch parcels--all the way from Village level all the way to Grand Cru. The vineyards were all converted to organic practices by 2009, and now, Drouhin Vaudon is a leading producer of Chablis. This wine has notes of the seashore that is the hallmark of the region, and offers notes of bright orchard fruits and ocean breezes. Lovely by itself, and great with seafood, especially shellfish.
