Chateau Platon is located a few miles north of the Cotes de Castillon in the periphery of Bordeaux. It is 65% Cabernet Sauvignon with the balance Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec. The wine has classic black currant fruit, along with herbal and oak spice nuances, and a bit of smoke in the finish. Classic Bordeaux at a bargain price. Get out the lamb and beef.
