From deep in the Roussillon wine region inland from Perpignan. In this region Carignan is often cropped to extremely high yields making totally innocuous, yet still intoxicating wine. When yields are controlled Carignan makes thrillingly robust and mouth-filling wine. Such is the case here where the blend is Syrah, Carignan, and Grenache. Brambly and boisterous.
