Les Hérétiques is from the Minervois appellation, but at 80% Carignan it contains too much of that grape and is disallowed from from stating Minervois on the label--rendering it a 'heretic" The play on words here is that the village of Minerve was that last stand for the Cathar heretics holding out against the Spanish Inquisition(!!). This wine is jolly, juicy, and fresh with upfront notes of cassis and black cherries.
