From historic Bodegas Barbadillo, founded in 1821 in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, comes an unusual Spanish sparkling wine made primarily from Palomino Fino, the traditional grape of Sherry, blended with Chardonnay. The grapes grow in the region's distinctive white, chalky albariza soils. Produced using the traditional method, with secondary fermentation in bottle and extended aging on the lees. Very dry, with fine bubbles, notes of citrus, green apple, toasted almonds and a distinctly mineral finish.
